The training programme welcomes applications from people who feel attuned to this way of understanding human experience and growth, and who believe they have the personal qualities and commitment to explore the possibility of working as a contemporary somatic psychotherapist.

We also welcome applications from people who are interested in the programme but who are not yet certain if they want to make the required commitment to a full training programme and who require an introductory course to assist them in their decision. The one-year Certificate course will provide the experiential context which could assist you in this decision.

Applicants' Backgrounds

Over the many years that Somatic Psychotherapy training programs have been offered in Australia, trainees have come from a wide diversity of backgrounds, many with tertiary training and some without. We are seeking trainees with suitable personal qualities and a strong motivation to learn. Lack of tertiary training should not stop you from applying. If you are strongly motivated and believe you have the necessary personal qualities and life experience we would like to hear from you. The training programme is suitable for those seeking a career change, for those who are seeking further professional development or for those wanting to develop a new career. Credit for prior learning may be possible in certain circumstances and this will be discussed during the interview process.

LATE Applications for 2010 are still being considered.
